Where Have I Been?

I'm starting this post off by apologising! Totally ruined the blogging schedule I had going!!!
I'm so sorry that I haven't been active in the last 10 days, I just needed to disappear. Last week suddenly got super busy and I couldn't fit in writing blog posts and joining in Twitter chats. Sometimes, I just don't have time in my day to be a blogger and that really does make me sad as it's something I really enjoy - even if I'm not very good at it. Other times, I just lack motivation and inspiration as I feel I'm not reaching out or connecting with anyone. I get bummed out when I see how well others are doing and I do the bad thing of comparing myself to them (which I do on a daily basis in life as well, maybe something to do with the musician in me?) Well, anyway, enough of me going on about how I'm feeling and let's show you what I've got up to in the past week!!

First things first - the weather!!! It's getting sunnier and so much warmer! I don't have to be so reliant on my coat to keep me warm! I also wore my sunglasses. I don't know about you but the sunshine just makes me so damn happy! I can't help but be in a great mood! It wakes me up early and I'm not tired. I'm excited for summer and excited for the lighter, warmer days. Seeing all the flowers out brightens my day too!

I spent the majority of Monday and Tuesday in a practice room! I've been really good with practice recently actually and I've been doing three/four hours everyday!! (I got told I had to do five-eight hours every day, but I don't have the energy for that!) I've also oddly started to enjoy practicing as I can hear myself improving! I wish I'd done this right from the beginning as who knows how good I could be if I had, I might even be at music college! (Not that I don't like Chichester, but I would, in all honesty, rather be at music college.)

Wednesday - It was the day I'd been looking forward to for THREE weeks!!! :D After having a flute/sax lesson (my friend and I are sharing our knowledge and teaching each other), I walked to the train station! Got on and was off to London to see Greg!! :D It was such a beautiful day and the views are gorgeous as you come over the South Downs! I took a book and read too!

I dressed up nicely and made myself feel pretty! Put in my contact lens' (which I did all week!) and voila, and snapchat filter (or two) later and I feel the best I have done in a long time!

I met Greg on the platform and I cried! I was so happy to see him as I hadn't seen him, in what felt like FOREVERRRR! We went back to his, had a little mini rehearsal for the Bach sonata we are playing together and then had an Indian and watched a film.

Thursday again was a beautiful day! We were up bright and early as we had to walk to the doctors in the next town along from where Greg lives. After that we went food shopping and headed back to his house. Watched Planet Earth, cooked dinner then soon it was time for me to leave. The worst part every time! You'd think I'd be used to saying goodbye now but it doesn't get any easier with each parting.

Friday was concert day!! Though I did sit there for the majority of the concert and only played in a few things, it was fun, doing what I love the most!! It does upset me that I had no one there to watch me, but I guess that's the problem when you are 100 miles away from home!

I'm the grumpy looking one on the left, end of the second row!

Saturday and Sunday were filled with work at Goodwood Motor Circuit for the 75th Member's Meeting. I had to cycle there Saturday and that was awful. I'm so unfit and there was the biggest hill climb, my legs were dead before I got there! Luckily, I made a friend who gave me a lift on Sunday! Oddly enough, I actually really enjoyed working, even if I did have to wear a ridiculous bow tie! And there was an amazing firework display on the Saturday evening, which we snuck a look at!

Then as I left work on Sunday night, I got a migraine which knocked me out for two days! That sucked big time!!!

Did you get up to anything nice in the last week?
