My Year in Review: 50 Questions

It seems I was very vain this year and liked taking all the selfies!!

The end of 2016 is beginning to draw to a close, very quickly! As per usual, as I'm writing this i have been ambushed by a very fluffy purring cat! half cute, half kind of annoying when you want to get things done and they are laying on you! But i won't complain because i miss her when i'm away. at this time of year, you begin to see a lot of "new year, new me" posts, something of which I have been very guilty in doing in the past. many of the years, i have fallen victim to writing things down that i am going to change about myself. Then it lasts a maximum of two days and then everything just goes out of the window. the beginning of the new year is a good place to wipe the slate clean and start refreshed but I believe that changes can happen throughout the year, wherever and whenever you want them to. you are always constantly learning new things and can improve. Life is a journey, not something where you reach an age and everything falls into place and you stop making mistakes.

The years whizz by before you even get the chance to blink. this year especially, i feel as though it's just slipped through my fingers and i can't catch up with it. time really does go by quicker, the older you get. It's so scary. "sometimes I wish that I could freeze the picture, and save it from the funny tricks of time." - is so true.

as the year goes by, I often forget the important things which helped me to get here, this day, this place. i forget about the small things that I should be grateful for and the positive things that have shaped my life. so I was searching blogs for a good way to reflect on my 2016, in one blog post and came across this post by ANUSCHKA REES. SHE SAYS, these questions are a GOOD EXERCISE FOR MINDFULNESS AND CONSCIOUS LIVING. I THINK WE SHOULD ALL TAKE THE TIME TO reminisce about our years, in hopes that we can make the next one even better! it helps you remember all the little things. This year saw a couple of new things - I turned twenty, started my second year at uni, Greg and I celebrated our 2 years and shared our first holiday. Oh and I climbed a tree for the first time. i played in the pit orchestra for carousel.

your 2016

  1. What one event, big or small, are you going to tell your grandchildren about? An interesting question, it's really making me think back across the year and currently ashamed to say I can't think of something - but either going to see Matilda the Musical or playing first flute in Carousel pit orchestra.

  3. What new things did you discover about yourself?
