“You must make a decision that you are going to move on. It wont happen automatically. You will have to rise up and say, ‘I don’t care how hard this is, I don’t care how disappointed I am, I’m not going to let this get the best of me. I’m moving on with my life.”
Joel Osteen
As a musician, failure is something I'm going to have to grow to expect and not let it get to me each time it happens. Being a musician means a lifetime of auditions and a lifetime of being knocked back more times than actually gaining the place you are going for. But I guess every time you fail it gives you a chance to learn and develop from it.
I say this because in life everyone is scared of failure - me included! I can't think of anything worse than to be rejected from something that I have worked really hard for and really wanted. It makes me feel so upset and I just want to sit there and cry. Sometimes it makes me want to give up. But what's the point because then it'll have defeated you. You have to learn to learn from it and to move on.
Everyone would love to go through life getting everything they want and getting the best results - take exam results for example, people always want those top grades but doesn't always happen like that. Sometimes you need failure just to realise how much you need to work. It kicks your butt in to gear and makes you work even more for what you want the most. I find that it makes you appreciate things a lot more.
Failure isn't a nice thing and no one really wants to but it's something that is needed to carry on forward with your life. Failure is what shapes us as people and allows us to become who we are. We could all just sit at home not doing anything, looking back in the past and not moving on from it. We can sit there crying all day because we haven't reached what we want. Or we could just move forward learning from experiences.

"When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life you have a thousand reasons to smile."
Admitting to failure, can be one of the hardest things a person does. No one wants to admit to it and  you can understand why! We, as a society find it painful to acknowledge when we haven't met want we were expected to and it's even more painful worrying about how others will react to your failure. Fear and embarrassment are what makes us scared of the reaction of others. It'd be all plain sailing if we didn't feel like this. We want to make everything seem perfect to others, not wanting to show our weaknesses and we do everything we can to avoid feeling like this.
Failure is strength. Without it, we wouldn't know what it was to succeed.
“Success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.”
Winston S. Churchill
We are all failures. Each one of us have failed at something - so why should we judge others and ridicule them for failing. What gives us that right when we have most probably done more or less the same thing at least once in our life.
